Based in Manchester I play at events and weddings all over the North West but am willing to travel further, by arrangement. My teaching is based in the Manchester, Salford and Bolton areas.
During a career spanning over 30 years I have gained extensive experience in performing and teaching.
I attended Chetham's School of Music in Manchester until I was 18 years old. I completed my A Levels and was awarded an organ scholarship to Trinity College, Oxford, where I completed my music degree.
Over many years I have been involved in all kinds of performance, on both piano and organ, including weddings and functions and solo concerts. I have also worked with a number of choirs, orchestras and soloists - both as director and accompanist - and this has led to performances of many larger-scale pieces.
At the same time I have substantial experience of teaching - both privately and in schools - where I have developed the knowledge and skills to be a successful teacher, building on my own enjoyment and passion for music.
I enjoy a wide range of musical activities; the diversity of my experience allows me to adapt my style to suit all kinds of occasion. I believe in actively supporting others to facilitate the best musical experience and greatest enjoyment.
